Sweeney Metal Fabricators was started in October 1988 by John Sweeney. It began with a small desk in the basement of his home and borrowed equipment in a friends’ Amherst, NH shop. The company soon grew into its own space as it acquired equipment, employees, and most importantly, a strong customer base.
Quality, Affordability, On Time
The company was built on simple, yet powerful principals: the highest quality, most affordable, product, delivered on time. Keeping this in mind, John never forgot who was the most important of all: customers.
Twenty-five years later, John is still at the helm, driving the company into the future of manufacturing. Many customers have been on the twenty-year ride, as well as some employees. Sweeney Metal Fabricators has made its home in Nashua for the past seventeen years and has grown from one employee in 1988 to 25 employees in 2013. The large customer base touches on most sectors of manufacturing. From high-tech, medical, and military, to restaurants and RVs, open doors and open ears have put Sweeney Metals where it is today.

Approvals & Accreditations
ISO 9001:2015
ISO 9001:2015 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in the family that can be certified to (although this is not a requirement). It can be used by any organization, large or small, regardless of its field of activity. In fact ISO 9001:2008 is implemented by over one million companies and organizations in over 170 countries.
ITAR
The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) are two important United States export control laws that affect the manufacturing, sales, and distribution of technology.
Joint Certification Program
The Joint Certification Program (JCP) was established to certify contractors of each country (US and Canada) for access, on an equally favorable basis, to unclassified technical data disclosing critical technology controlled in the U.S. by Department of Defense (DOD) Directive 5230.25 and, in Canada, by the Technical Data Control Regulations. The JCP Is managed by the U.S./Canada Joint Certification Office (JCO).
